When you hear the word LCD what’s the first thing that comes to mind? TV right! Well, the LCD world is much bigger than just a TV screen. Have you ever expected the thing you see on a screen, on a handheld device, in our cars, computers, or any embedded devices that may require a screen for displaying information is either visual or text-based format, has a build-in sophisticated system? Well now you know, this helps to ensure users are interacting with these devices as much as possible. There are many things in today’s world that use some sort of display mechanism, which implies that this form of technology will be around for a long time.
Base on scientific observations and the reactions of molecules in matter, liquid crystals are neither solid nor liquid, but this material is closest to liquid. There are few types of Liquid crystals display that gives us the ability to view text, pictures, and other graphical features, these LCDs can be called Graphic LCDs, color TFT LCDs, Character LCDs, etc… The Graphic liquid crystal display comes in many different types, such as the Film super-twisted nematic display (FSTN), super-twisted nematic display (STN), and Twisted Nematic display (TN), then leads to the two forms of polarizer’s, one at the front and back of the display.
The reason why graphic LCDs are so popular is because of their flexibility, the mechanical texture of thinner dimensions, the more detailed orientation of a three-dimensional object, because they can be disposed of more safely, lighter, and less electrical power consumption than its older predecessors the cathode ray tubes (CRTs).

Pros:
The high-end Color LCD device worlds are being taken over. Because our environment is changing and embedded devices are becoming more advanced and more common, we tend to look at software art. Steve Jobs rightly sums it up. “It isn’t just how it looks and how it sounds. TFT LCD modules are a type of LCD model which uses thin film, appliances like TV, computer monitors, flashes, mobile phone, and navigation system. Because of the circuit design process, the construction of a color LCD module or TFT LCD is quite extraordinary; this type of layout is similar to a semiconductor device layout. Even though we examined the TFT LCD display, we found a few advantages and disadvantages most required for this review. The benefits of TFT LCD are as follows: lower energy consumption, better visibility, in other words, it has superb quality, physical design, response time, and less eye strain, etc. There are few drawbacks associated with each great product, such as price and viewing angles.
Thanks to the energy consumption associated with this screen, TFT LCD screens are very convenient, consciously in today’s energy-saving world, eliminating greenhouse gas and ensuring better future generations is a number one priority. Because of the design of TFT structures, Pixel like materials does not require much energy, to begin with except that this product uses much less power than a comparable CRT monitor. Instead of scanning electron beams, the images of a TFT display are free of flicker and have a crisp image without any geometric distortion.
Cons:
As stated before TFT LCD has few drawbacks, it can cost a little more than a standard monochrome display due to the nature of the TFT LCD display design. Other disadvantages may arise when viewing the display in the direction of 6 0’clock, but in fact, the optimal viewing is in the direction of 12’clock, which may also lead to an inversion that is common in such situations; however, TFT displays are superior and will be in production for years to come.
