It’s possible, in fact it’s already built into the theme customizer panel!
Log in to your administrator panel and choose: “Appearance -> Customize”
Then go to Site Identity and you can upload a logo, and choose if you want to show title and tagline also.

Demo is basically this site, we are working on making a complete demo site with instructions as well.
Hi … This looks like a perfect magazine-style theme.
I am just wondering: most of my images will be portrait, not landscape: how will that look in this theme ?

Honestly, I can’t say for sure as I haven’t tried, but it should be easily done. I saw someone at tinyfacet.com having done just that it seems.
First, you would want to change the thumbnail sizes to a portrait aspect ratio, in “functions.php” they are located. Then play around with those sizes, and perhaps also add or remove the hard crop functionality depending on your set sizes. See the WordPress Codex for details on how to do that.
