Yuji Oishi :

 I realized that the high self-esteem I have today is thanks to my mother’s positive kuchiguseh, or habitual phrases of encouragement.

I started my kuchiguseh therapy initiative because I wanted to help others who may be struggling with low self-esteem. In my experience, 


When I started using positive kuchiguseh with my wife, she became more cheerful and her antidepressant dosage was even reduced by a quarter. I was so inspired by the positive impact that kuchiguseh had on my wife that I wanted to share this with others as well. In the Japanese language, “kuchiguseh” refers to phrases that you may find yourself saying repeatedly on a daily basis without realizing it. These habitual phrases can be a result of conditioning or just a part of your daily routine. Regardless of the reason, kuchiguseh can reveal important insights into an individual’s thoughts and behaviors. As the creator of kuchiguseh therapist, Yuji Oishi is on a mission to help people improve their self-esteem and replace negative kuchiguseh with positive ones in order to live a happier and more fulfilling life.

Born on September 17, 1967, Yuji first found his passion for language during his time at University, where he was a member of Aiesec and went on a study tour to Europe. After graduating, Yuji joined Nissan Motor in 1993 and has since gained extensive experience in human resources, including at ABeam Consulting. In January 2021, Yujii became independent and found his method of kuchiguseh therapy.

According to Yujii, Many people in society have a tendency towards low self-esteem, and a positive kuchiguseh, or words of encouragement and positivity, can be a  way to improve this. 

“I want to share the method of replacing negative kuchiguseh with a positive one with those who need it,” says Yuji. Yuji’s ultimate goal is to spread the beauty of the Japanese language, known as “kuchiguseh,” around the world.

In addition to his seminars and tournament wins, Yuji has also conducted live broadcasts called “Kuchiguseh no Izumi,” or “The Spring of Kuchiguseh,” in order to reach a wider audience with his message of positivity and self-improvement.

When anyone does something over and over expecting different results, it is termed as “insanity.” Many people are confined to learned behaviors which are hardly any kind of insanity. They are just wrongful habits. The actions which result are typically negative when acting based on emotion.
