Excavators
Beyond excavation and digging, excavators are also used to lift heavy loads. Graders
This construction equipment is used to flatten the surface of yet-to-be constructed roads. For this purpose, a flat sheet of metal is laid down between the rear and front wheels of a grader. When this machine moves on the road, this metal sheet is lowered down on the road. This plate then paves the surface underneath as the grader moves forward or backward.
Road Rollers
Road rollers are also used to flatten the surfaces of newly laid roads. In a road roller, there is a large, heavy drum-shaped wheel in the front. In the rear, two big rubber wheels have grooved surfaces. The road roller moves forward and backward and compresses the material underneath to flatten the newly laid asphalt. Cranes
